Scotch pine, which is one of the tree species, is found more intensely in the east and northeast of Turkey, in some parts of the west, middle and eastern Black Sea compared to other regions. On the other hand, it is grown in Siberia and Scandinavian countries in high quality and in abundance. It is the timber of the Scots pine species that concerns our sector rather than its tree characteristics. as follows;

Scotch pine timber differs from larch and red pine in that its color changes to yellow, albeit a little, and that it is not hard. Scots pine timber, which is known for its non-hardness among pine species, is an ideal timber for interior joinery, decoration works and all similar indoor works. Scotch pine timber products, which offer a pleasant work and space to its practitioner and user in terms of screwing, planing and polishing, have found an intense application area.
